New Case - Global Star Logistics, China

This is an interesting movement.  Last month, Global Star completed 2 heavylift movements, loaded on a container vessel for their client ‘s new plant in Shanghai.  We loaded 2 heavylift items with 1 x 92 tons & 1 x 86 tons.  For the voyage from Antwerp to Shanghai, each item was loaded on 3x40’FR with Flatrack platform operation; totally we used 6x40’FR- as the cargo is out of gauge.  Finally we used 54 teu spaces on the container shipping line !!

After the mother container vessel, COSCO Guangzhou, arrived in Shanghai, as cargo was too wide & heavy and cannot exit via the gates of Shanghai Terminal, we arranged connecting transport by floating crane and barge.  The connecting barge then sailed to the closest jetty for the client and we arranged a floating crane to discharge from barge to jetty, directly onto trucks, finally trucking to job site.
